_All civilizations and all religions have tried to explain how the Universe began. Today, most scientists believe that our universe came into being with an enormous explosion called the "Big Bang". For centuries scientists of all disciplines have studied the Earth, its rocks and stars, seas and mountains, and flora and fauna to try to understand better the history of our planet. But scientists are not the only people to develop theories about our beginnings. Religions from Hindu to Christianity, from ancient pagan beliefs to Islam, all have their stories and explanations of how our world was created. ö@Hubble@
